International Vegetable Variety Exhibition 2026 – 2027
Thai Seed Trade Association (THASTA) in collaboration with Thailand Department of Agriculture, Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus (KU KPS), Tropical Vegetable Research Center (TVRC) and Asia and Pacific Seed Alliance (APSA), cordially invites you to participate in the International Vegetable Variety Exhibition 2026 – 2027. The exhibition will focus on Tomato, Chili, Eggplant, Cucurbits, and Leafy Vegetables, with the objectives to:

Field Exhibition Details
Plot Size:
3 meters × 8 meters per entry for all crops
Field Location:
Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, Nakhon Pathom, Thailand
The campus is located approximately 90 kilometers from Kasetsart University's Bangkok Campus and is conveniently accessible via the M81 Expressway
Cultivation & Field Management:
All plots will be cultivated and maintained to high standards, with professional management by the Tropical Vegetable Research Center (TVRC)
Facilities & Support Provided:
• Regulatory and technical support and assistance will be provided from seed import through the entire cultivation period up to exhibition day
• Modern and well-maintained infrastructure and 24-hour on-site security to ensure plot safety
Visiting Field:
Participants may visit and invite their customers to visit the plots on any working day during the planting period up until the Field Show Day
Information
Seed Quantity for Delivery:
• Small Seeds: Please provide 5 grams per variety per plot, or adjust the quantity as per your professional recommendation.
• Large Seeds: Please provide 15 grams per variety per plot, or adjust the quantity as per your professional recommendation.
Seed Importer:
THASTA will serve as the seed importer for all participating varieties.
Seed Import Permit:
Managed by THASTA in coordination with the Department of Agriculture (DoA).

Plant Quarantine Clearance:
The Department of Agriculture (DoA) will assist with plant quarantine clearance for seeds participating in the exhibition. Participants are advised to ensure that all seed shipments arrive in Thailand by May 2025 to allow sufficient time for quarantine processing, seeding, and cultivation.
Seeding and Cultivation:
TVRC will conduct cultivation according to standard procedures or participants’ instructions.
Field Management:
Irrigation, fertilization, crop protection, and overall plot maintenance, all provided by TVRC.
Field Security:
24/7 on-site security with CCTV monitoring
Field Visit and Field Show Invitations:
Participants will receive an official invitation letter to visit their varieties in the field and to attend the Field Show Day.
Visa Support:
Thailand offers visa-free entry to citizens of 93 countries. THASTA will provide invitation letters and assist participants in obtaining visas to enter Thailand for this event.

Tomato:
Tomato seeds are regulated as prohibited seeds. Import of tomato seeds requires Phytosanitary Certificate containing following additional declarations.
1) “The consignment of tomato seeds was produced in [country] where Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis, Pepino mosaic virus, Tomato brown rugose fruit virus, Potato spindle tuber viroid, Tomato apical stunt viroid, Tomato chlorotic dwarf viroid, Tomato planta macho viroid and Columnea latent viroid are not known to occur.”
OR
2) “The consignment of tomato seeds was officially tested using appropriate methods and found free from Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis, Pepino mosaic virus, Tomato brown rugose fruit virus, Potato spindle tuber viroid, Tomato apical stunt viroid, Tomato chlorotic dwarf viroid, Tomato planta macho viroid and Columnea latent viroid.”

Chili:
Chili seeds are regulated as prohibited seeds. Import of chili seeds requires Phytosanitary Certificate containing following additional declarations.
1) “The consignment of capsicum seeds was produced in [country] where Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis, Tomato brown rugose fruit virus, Columnea latent viroid and Potato spindle tuber viroid are not known to occur.”

2) “The consignment of capsicum seeds was officially tested using appropriate methods and found free from Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis, Tomato brown rugose fruit virus, Columnea latent viroid and Potato spindle tuber viroid.”

Eggplant:
Eggplant seeds are regulated as prohibited seeds. Import of eggplant seed requires Phytosanitary Certificate containing following additional declarations.

Cucurbits seeds are regulated as unprohibited or restricted seeds. Import of cucurbits seeds requires Phytosanitary Certificate that indicates pest-free status, disinfestation/disinfection of the seeds.
Leafy Vegetables:
Leafy vegetable seeds are regulated as unprohibited or restricted seeds. Import of leafy vegetable seeds requires Phytosanitary Certificate that indicates pest-free status, disinfestation/disinfection of the seeds.
